ALLY LAB offers allyship training programs to help allies move beyond intentions and conversations to effective action. We offer interactive workshops, as well as virtual and hybrid learning experiences.

DEIB Meets Design Thinking

One of the things that sets Ally Lab's training apart is our foundation in Human-Centered Design. We not only provide information, but we provide practical, creative skills for addressing systemic change. Our sessions are interactive, impactful, and surprisingly fun!

Behaviors Not Beliefs

One of the fundamental underpinnings of our work is that we focus on practical behaviors and skills. We know that people come to our sessions from a wide variety of backgrounds, identities, experiences, and beliefs. We respect and welcome that diversity. Our aim isn’t to change anyone’s identity or ideology, but instead to provide valuable skills and practices that can help make workplaces more welcoming and inclusive for a broader range of people.

Allyship is Action

Often, DEIB training programs focus on knowledge or encouraging conversations. ALLY LAB believes that allyship requires more. Real allyship means taking effective, proactive, strategic action. We create allyship training that builds knowledge, motivation AND practical skills. 

Why Allyship Training?

Many DEIB programs rely on members of marginalized groups to bear the burden of effecting workplace change. Allyship training encourages and equips people who have privilege, advantage, and status to improve workplace equity. Research shows that allyship training produces real benefits both for workers in marginalized groups and their employers. These benefits include lower stress, greater happiness, higher productivity, and higher retention. A recent survey by change catalyst found that in companies that promoted allyship, members of marginalized groups were:
